Elementary Tutor

I have been a tutor at a local elementary school where my students were very successful. As a future teacher, I am learning and growing in the skills necessary to now take on and help educate children in the common core. I have been an assistant teacher, a teacher's aide and an after school teacher. I have worked in many different settings including pre-school, elementary and middle school. I was employed by the Lakeland Central School District as a substitute Teacher Aide and later in a full time capacity. I worked for the OASIS Program and later at the Alternative High School. After completing my Bachelor's Degree at Concordia College, I applied for and was accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. I taught Special Education at a high needs urban high school in the Bronx. This was a challenging and rewarding experience. Many of my students continued on to post secondary schools.
