In college I majored in psychology (BA University of Missouri), and then statistics (MA University of Missouri, PhD Carnegie Mellon University). I taught and tutored all levels of undergraduate statistics, with emphasis on behavioral science majors. In my classes and tutoring I met students (and classmates) from diverse parts of the world.
Learning requires practice, so I emphasize practice to mastery, following Kumon. I am currently a Post Graduate student at UCSD. I have been tutoring for the past 3-4 years. I have primarily tutored High School and Undergraduate students. My area of expertise is Math. I can tutor any math up until Advanced Calculus.
I primarily focus on concepts and fundamentals. Most often I try to follow the instructors teaching style so the student can go to the class and does not feel lost.
