I have a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Providence College and have been looking to get into teaching. I have been a substitute teacher for grades 9-12 since January, 2013. I am also in the process of getting my temporary teaching certificate for the state of Florida in science (grades 6-12). My old next door neighbors have two children. One is a boy in elementary and one is a girl in middle school. I tutored the boy in reading and writing. He was able to read his first book on his own after a few weeks with me. I had to tutor the girl in math. she was taking algebra and was having a tough time with it. In two weeks of many meetings, she was able to pass her final exam. No matter what grade I was in, I always enjoyed going down to the ESE room and helping the special kids.
