Experience Summary
I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Biology and more recently, as BS in Information Systems, graduating with honors. As such, I have a thorough understanding of math, science and computer concepts, as well as a strong command of English skills. I have many years of professional experience in fields where analytical and problem solving skills were key requirements to successful job performance, as was the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and have been published in scientific journals. Currently, I enjoy helping my young nieces and the children of friends learn reading and math skills, and am always delighted when they grasp new concepts.
Teaching Style
I love learning, and was a member of the National Honor Society while in school. I believe every child has the potential to become an outstanding student and to enjoy attaining goals. I feel that the biggest obstacle to learning is often in the delivery of the message, rather than the inability to grasp a new concept. I am a patient and easy going teacher, striving to model myself after the teachers who were inspirational to me. During my professional appointments, the most rewarding part of my jobs was the ability to mentor and train others in the skills and knowledge I had gained over the years, which enabled them to become outstanding assets to our teams.
