Experience Summary
As a student at the University of South Florida, I was required to complete three levels of internships. In my last internship, I was in complete charge of the class. I used assessments to plan my lessons, seeing if I could go on to the next lesson or needed to review. I am a very enthusiastic teacher, and I have had several of my interning teachers, students, and cooperating teachers tell me that I make learning fun. In addition to my BS degree, I have had experience tutoring co-workers and friends in high school algebra and college algebra. Lastly, I am a basketball/volleyball coach for the YMCA and I coached for Venice High School girls varsity basketball.
Teaching Style
I have strong desire and passion to work with children! I have a very positive and enthusiastic approach using differentiated instruction, Kagan Cooperative Learning strategies, and Bloom's Higher Order Thinking. I make learning fun for all children by finding out what interests them and develop my lessons around that.
