A Little Bit About Me...

I feel like I am patient and flexible. I believe that all children can learn with some modifications in place. Collaborating with the student's classroom teacher is critical for the private tutor to do. I am fun and outgoing and my philosophy is the child should be enjoying the tutoring session(but learning of course)! There are ways to make each session fun and enjoyable.
I have been teaching for 29 years. I have a Master's in Education and I am currently finishing my Speech degree. I have taught preschool special education, deaf education/hearing impairment K-5th grade and K/first grade. My passion is reading and literacy skills which I implement with my school age children with hearing impairment. A Little Bit About Me...

I am fervently earnest in pursuing a career assisting students in their learning. With experience working at the elementary through high school levels, I have a diverse background with much to offer. Throughout my years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with students from a variety of economic and social background. I have instructed students whose first language was Spanish, Russian, or American Sign Language. In each of those situations, I have had to utilize a diversity of alternative and creative approaches to instruction for multiple subjects and topics.
My most recent experiences have shown me that encouragement is central is assisting the students in their learning.
