I have extensive experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school through junior college. As a parent volunteer, I tutored K-6 students in math and reading. My comments on tutoring Government : I have my B.A. in History and a minor in Philosophy from the University of Colorado. It would be juxtaposed if anyone claimed to understand government, but I consider myself well versed.

I am a newly grad from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs; I earned my B.A. in History and a minor in philosophy. A Little Bit About Me...

As a classroom teacher I quickly learned to engage each student individually. I prefer tutoring because I can tailor my instruction to a specific student. Children have different learning styles so it is my responsibility as the instructor to adapt lessons to maximize learning for each child. Ideally I am able to guide a student to realize concepts in their own terms rather then dictate facts to them.
I recently completed two years of teaching Physical Science in a secondary school in Namibia as a Peace Corps volunteer.
