I am a special education teacher with over 10 years experience. I have taught special education up to middle school and general education elementay. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Special Education. I am also a classroom educator level Orton-Gilliangham trainee (I have the certificate to prove it). A Little Bit About Me...

I've always believed that children learn by doing. I would rather have my students get real hands-on experience because concepts can be better attained and understood if children get real experience with it. I also believe that children learn differently from one another and a teacher should be able to accommodate the different learning styles of her or his students. One method may not work for a student, so I feel that it is the teacher's responsibility to make sure each student reaches their full potential by finding ways that will work for her/his students and then incorporate these differences in the classroom.
