I can teach in both lecture style (time consuming) or review style. In lecture style, I prepare notes on topics provided to me before meeting and present these notes with sufficient number of examples. Then I have the student work on problems to gauge his/her understanding. In review style, I concentrate on reviewing problems with the student. I have vast experience tutoring at both the high-school and college levels. I have previously been hired by Rutgers University, NJ as a tutor for the Executive MBA program in Newark. Developing a good practical understanding of the subject matter has been my main motivation for tutoring students. My approach to curriculum based or assignment based teaching may be slightly different (depending upon the understanding of the subject matter by the student), but I believe it should lead to the same result. It involves the use of a structured approach (develop plan of various sessions), enhance the learning experience through practical methods, accessing the progress and getting feedback.
