A Little Bit About Me...

As a student myself I know exactly what I want and expect out of a teacher. Learning is exciting for me, and it is important to me that I convey the 'fun' aspects of learning to my students. I am believe in conforming the way I teach to match the student's learning abilities. It is my job to make sure the student walks away fully understanding the information as opposed to acting like they understand it.
As a young student I was very motivated to attend medical school at a young age. I received a bachelor degree, BS, in biology with minors in both psychology and chemistry. While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University.
