Helping Others To Accomplish Their Goals

I have worked with various needy students who have been classified as learning disabled, or those who know they are in need for assistance. My experiences vary, as I worked with older children in filling out applications for jobs and to prepare for jobs. I also, have worked with many adults on writing papers for college preparation or with helping their children on writing tasks. I have worked with young children on phonics and reading readiness.
My style is what works for the person I am working with. I am opened to sharing my ideas, but listening to each individual and what works for them.

I am very much driven to achieve a level of excellence in education hence my participation this far in the No Child Left Behind program tutoring as an independent contractor. I earned my bachelor degrees, BS in Business Administration Liberal Arts style which enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. I have been a substitute teacher for the last 7 years at Groesbeck ISD working mainly with the high school area, and some at the middle school. I also teach an adult student at a local plant working on his GED. I am the primary instructor there. I write for several online freelance article sites and am paid to do that as well. I have passed my EC-12 Special Education test and also my Generalist 4-8 and am considered Highly Qualified in those 2 areas. I have to apply for my probationary certificate and lack the student internship area to complete my certification. I would do that upon getting a full-time teaching position. I believe there is more than one way to accomplish a goal so I am not limited to only one certain teaching style. I will adapt to my client. A client may learn best while sitting and discussing subjects, another client may learn better if the subject can somehow become an activity and still other clients may absorb information a different way. I am prepared to adapt my approach to ensure my clients benefit from every session.
