A Little Bit About Me...

One of my key strengths as a science and math teacher is that after receiving BS & MS chemistry degrees, I’ve spent over 20 years as an industrial scientist (Allied Signal Aerospace, Eastman Kodak, & Ford). A common thread throughout this time has been to recognize the value of a good work ethic, character, and thriving on being a problem solver. After becoming a teacher (4 years ago), I’ve developed a passion for motivating “at-risk” and advanced students to learn through adept usage of differentiation, rigorous content, and experiential teaching techniques. I especially enjoy doing so one-on-one with individuals! I leave with a favorite quote from Albert Einstein; “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”
