Graduate student looking to help students achieve their goals!

I have tutored children off and on since I was in high school. More recently, my time has been spent volunteering with The Giving Tree, where I tutored inner-city children after school and helped organize activities (museums, zoo, etc.) on the weekends. I enjoy teaching and creating interest in the subject that is being taught. I have learned from experiance that the more interested the students become in the subject, the better they learn. I have found that many students have a psychological barrier when it comes to mathematics and the sciences. Once that barrier is brought down, the students interest in the subject starts to perk, and it's all uphill from there.
