I enjoy teaching and creating interest in the subject that is being taught. I have learned from experiance that the more interested the students become in the subject, the better they learn. I have found that many students have a psychological barrier when it comes to mathematics and the sciences. Once that barrier is brought down, the students interest in the subject starts to perk, and it's all uphill from there. My basic teaching style utilizes a multimedia approach since different students learn in different ways (audio, visual, or hands-on). I like using simple “demo” experiments to show the “magic” of chemistry. Demos are then backed up by showing the chemical equations to explain what is actually going on. I also tend to use a lot of analogies, that students can related to. I access web information to help explain chemical concepts in creative ways.
