I have dreamed of being a teacher since I was a little girl. I worked towards this goal and received my teaching certificate and then a job teaching 8th grade reading my first year teaching. I have since taught 6-8th English/Reading as well as 8th American History.

When I teach, I introduce myself and let others introduce themselves. My teaching style conforms to the learning style of the individual. Since no two people learn the same it is impossible to tutor the same way. I feel that once I have found a way to spark their interest and how they learn, it is much easier to help them acheive their goals and grasp the material. My teaching style is differentiated teaching, as this combines many different learning styles and is able to reach most, if not all studens. I teach using many different hands-on activities, as I believe that it teaches real-world applications. I believe in texts/paper assignements but always try to back up the assignment with some type of real-world experience/scenario,; whether it be having the student give a speech, act out a script or physically demonstrate a concept or a combination of all of the above.
