A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy watching others learn and come to the realization that they can achieve their goals. My teaching/tutoring style is relaxed and pro-active. The more the student discovers on their own with only a little coaching and encouragement will last longer than if someone shows every step. I believe in a practical hands one real world method. If what the student is learning is not relavent to the real world and their lives they are less likely to learn it.
I have 2 Years of teaching First Aid/ CPR/ AED at the American Red Cross. I also have 1 quarter of tutoring physics at Washington State Community College. I also instruct Pet CPR/First Aid for the American Red Cross. This is especially fulfilling when watching children learn that there is something they can do to help save their injured or sick pet. I have tutored fellow students while I was in college in mathematics, chemistry and physics. I have a love and great appreciation of mathematics and all that is involved with it. I have tutored high school students in math, I have tutored college graduates for the math portion of the GRE, and have also tutored non-traditional students in mathematics. I have earned my degree from Ohio University. My degree has opened my eyes to the beauty of mathematics.
