I graduated from Princeton University with a BA (cum laude) in History and will be starting a Ph.D. program in History in the fall. I served as a tutor at the middle school level during my college years and have worked with High School students on History, English and ACT/SAT prep for the past year.I have also served in various other academically-related positions, including as a research assistant and library assistant.

Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I enjoy math and am able to help students not only learn the basics but to enjoy it as well.

I have worked with children and teens all my life. I was a camp counselor at a YMCA camp for 6 summers in my teens and early 20s. I taught 5th grade my first year (class of 36 students!) and then taught 3rd grade for a year, 2nd grade for three years, and 4th grade for three years--all in public schools. Then I taught English at the middle school level for four years in a private school. After that I subbed and tutored for a year until I was hired to teach in a K-8 building at the 8th grade level. I taught there for nearly 20 years before I retired, teaching science, pre-algebra, and communication arts (English, reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, and spelling.) Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I have a very strong background in math and taught elementary school math for over 15 years.
