My preferred method of teaching is use of visual aids and examples. I have an extensive background in the computer industry. I have worked at many client sites where I was designated as the on-site trainer for different types of computer software for the staff. I was selected because of my ability to adapt to any situation quickly and for being capable of explaining based on the level of understanding of the person I was training.
I have more than 29 years in the computer industry with fortune 100 companies using various types of computer software. I feel each child is unique, so their learning style is unique. I especially enjoy using the explorative method of teaching where the child is encourage to explore, examine, and discover with my assistance. I believe that each child has a gift and it is my job to discover where their strengths lie and to foster that strength and know where their weaknesses are and kindle their desire to make those stronger. I believe that every child can learn and achieve, but at their own rate and you have to instill a desire and love of learning in them and make them know they are worthy and capable of achieving what their heart desires.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Berea College, I was given an opportunity to utilize the skills I learned at that institution. I have earned a bachelor degree in Psychology, which help me hone the statistical and research knowledge I now have. I am going to continue my work in psychology to work toward my master's degree at EKU in general psychology. I not only have an educational background in statistics and SPSS, but I have utilized my skills in several research projects and have helped others understand statistical concepts and how to use SPSS. I was a teaching assistant for several psychology research classes at Berea College for a year and a half.
