As a recent student, I am very familiar with what it feels like to be in the position a lot of the students are in right now. At the same time, I understand the best method about how to approach understanding the material in the easiest manner possible. The key is patience and practice. I firmly believe the best way to teach is to attempt many examples, rather than strictly lecture. Generally in my experience I have a higher level of understanding of basic principles than my peers. This puts me in a position of frequently helping others understand subtleties of the material.
