1998 was the my first tutoring experience, I took time from busy school schedule to tutor students in Math and Science at a low income school near my college. After spending time tutoring students in a variety of subjects I decided to go for an education degree once I finished my undergraduate degree. While working towards my Masters degree I spent a semester working in the Seattle Public school as a substitute teachers aid. Once I finished my Masters degree and teaching certification I received a job as an Earth Science teacher. I taught for one year at that school and then moved to the state of Tennessee. I do also apply almost everything I teach to real world situations, for example most young students may think that learning about triangles will not benefit his/her career in business.
