Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I have been a certified Sign Language interpreter for 2 years. My wife is also a certified interpreter and both of her parents are Deaf.

I have been a certified interpreter for 3 years working in the school system as well as theatre, business meetings, medical appointments, and conferences. My wife is also a certified interpreter and both of her parents are Deaf - ASL was her first language. We both love ASL and the Deaf community. We have also both worked extensively with Deaf children on the acquisition of ASL.

A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to earning my degree in education, I was a sign language interpreter for the Deaf. I noticed that Deaf students were not getting an adequate education so I decided to finish my degree so that I would have the ability to have more influence with my student's ability to be successful regardless of their disability. I earned my BA in education with an endorsement in English. I have also had additional education in the area of Diversity and experience in working with special needs students. I have had the opportunity to tutor adults and children in sign language, English, Social Studies and math.
