I have always enjoyed playing the piano. And I took extreme satisfaction from teaching piano. I would sit beside them while they played the pieces I had assigned to them to practice since the previous lesson. If they had problems or questions about something, I was there to help. We'd talk and laugh, and I hoped they learned through it all. Above all, I never wanted to yell at them or berate them, because I knew they'd never learn if they felt pressured or thought I was there only to critize them. A Little Bit About Me...

As a parent concerned about the condition of the public school system we decided to homeschool our last two children. I began teaching them in the first grade and have continued up to, and including, the present time. My son is now a high school freshman and my daughter is in the eighth grade.
