My teaching style centers on relationships. I feel that it is essential to build a relationship with each student, and with their family, as well. Truly knowing a child allows you to understand their strengths and areas of growth, and helps identify ways to reach that child where they are and help propel them further. I am well-versed in many strategies used to differentiate instruction, and have applicable experience using these skills with a variety of age groups. Teaching style varies by student and by subject, and even varies according to my level of skill in the subject matter. I have been told that I make things that are confusing or hard to understand easy, and I love that 'I see' look in a student's eyes.
As a student I was always helping my friends and brothers with their school work, especially math.
