My experience with tutoring began in high school, when I started assisting elementary students with homework through one of my clubs. Throughout the two years I was involved, I regularly helped 6 students, along with 6 students that I met with irregularly. I have experience tutoring children with behavioral issues, learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADHD, ADD), as well as students on the Autism Spectrum. I teach as I coach, individually and with praise. Mathematics is a language, nothing more and nothing less. I teach it as a language. Learning math as a language brings tensions down and eases the students fears and inhibitions in feeling like "they should know this", no..that is not true.
