My comments on tutoring Spanish : I studied Spanish for two years in highschool, but ended up living in Spain for three (3) years.

I have 12 years experience working with the Russian language. I spent two years in school learning the language and then 10 years in the field using it! I spent 3 years in Spain working with the Russian language as a Russian analyst. I also gained invaluable experience working on Naval vessels and intercepting live Russian language from Russian/Soviet Naval ships. This experience was invaluable. During my two (2) years in school, Russian is the only subject we took. I studied 4 hours a night and ended up graduating with honors from the course in Monterey, Ca. From there, I was sent to Goodfellow AFB, in San Angelo, Tx. There I studied the military version of the Russian language. I also did very well at that school. I then gained another 10 years of experience with the Russian language with the U.S. Navy intelligence.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a Fayetteville State University undergraduate, I did a lot of volunteer work with high school student. I also worked in the school's computer lab assisting students with classwork and homework. I have tutored students for the SATs. My specific field is English but I can also tutor in Spanish. A Little Bit About Me...

I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that.
