My comments on tutoring Spanish : I studied Spanish for two years in highschool, but ended up living in Spain for three (3) years.

I have 12 years experience working with the Russian language. I spent two years in school learning the language and then 10 years in the field using it! I spent 3 years in Spain working with the Russian language as a Russian analyst. I also gained invaluable experience working on Naval vessels and intercepting live Russian language from Russian/Soviet Naval ships. This experience was invaluable. During my two (2) years in school, Russian is the only subject we took. I studied 4 hours a night and ended up graduating with honors from the course in Monterey, Ca. From there, I was sent to Goodfellow AFB, in San Angelo, Tx. There I studied the military version of the Russian language. I also did very well at that school. I then gained another 10 years of experience with the Russian language with the U.S. Navy intelligence.

I delight in helping students to acquire new knowledge and there is satisfaction in having students thank the teacher after a class. I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. A Little Bit About Me...

I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that. I do believe that all children learn in different ways. I think that if a child is given a chance and shown some patience, there isn't anything they can't acheive. Children should be guided in learning. They have short attention spans and I think learning should be made fun in order to hold their attention.
