I am now working on my Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I worked as an English tutor for international students at the University of Findlay from 2007-2009. I also tutored college students in Spanish in the fall of 2009. I have also tutored elementary school students in English. I studied Spanish in Mexico and Arabic in Jordan. After 13 years of employment with the Oklahoma City Police Department, I decided to finish my degree, and become a certified teacher. This decision was due to the Police Department recruiting me to teach various computer classes to police officers. I have taught various beginning and advanced computer classes, Algebra II, and business math. I have also tutored students who have failed high school math classes. Each student I have tutored has brought their grade up to at least a "C" average (from a failing score). One student I tutored enrolled in a class at OU for high school credit (Algebra II).
