A Little Bit About Me...

I a sophomore honors student at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. I am from Shawnee, OK. I am majoring in Oxbridge Music (I have played piano for over 12 years and cello for close to 5 years). I love English--creative writing (fiction, creative nonfiction, personal essay, poetry, etc.) in particular, but I am also experienced in the mechanics of analytical, literary, and compositional writing. I have taken five years of Spanish and am at an intermediate-early advanced level.
I am a very friendly person who wants to help in any way I can. I am a hard worker and easy to get along with.

I feel that all students learn differently and for that my teaching styles vary. I am a visual person so; I that all children can learn when shown examples of what I am trying to teach them. I am very hands-on as a teacher and I want your child to be involved in their learning. Above all, I love children and I feel that all children can learn if just given a chance.
In 2006, I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education K- 8th grades. My cognate was concentrated in the Socials Studies areas. I have a great love of history and always traveling to learn more about interesting parts of the country. After graduation, I taught Commercial Science grades 6th thru 8th in a middle school. I have taught computers for the past two years in the same school. I have also substituted in all grades and all subjects.

A Little Bit About Me...

I attended a preparatory school in Junior High and High School. I then went on to Mississippi College where I obtained a Bachelor degree in Home Economics with an emphysis on Fashion Merchandising. When I became a mom, I decided to home school my kids so that I could take an active part in their education and I could guide them in ways that someone else might not find interesting or important.
I love to learn and everyone learns differently. I believe that if the information is not being understood one way, then we need to find another way to instruct. Hands-on learning and learning through experience always leaves a lasting impression. Deep in the heart of Texas, I earned my English degree at a small college. I was only 21 years old and intimidated by the classroom, so instead of teaching, I entered the workforce. Now I am attending the English Graduate School at OSU, and am excited about teaching students on an individual basis.
