A Little Bit About Me...

Some of my most rewarding times in life have been those when I help a student understand a concept that has bewildered him. I am usually able to find a unique way to make the student think about his learning. I try to teach to mastery. I don't believe efficient learning takes place in any discipline if one hasn't mastered some of the basic principles. I encourage exploration of alternative methods for problem solving. I have a strong desire to use my abilities and interests as a professional educator. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching guitar lessons for a year now. I have just graduated from Colorado State University Pueblo with my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. In my education at CSU I have also acquired six credit hours in education classes and observed 60 hours in public schools.
In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. My specialty is music, but I love to teach in general because kids need good mentors. Each child is different so I use an individualized approach to my teaching styles. We all learn differently whether we are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I asses the student and provide the material/exercises necessary in order to create the best learning experience possible.
