A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelors and Masters in Elementary Education. I have been a substitute teacher for 6 years. I currently work for Fort Knox Community Schools as a long term substitute teacher. I fill in for the maternity leaves, sicknesses and emergency cases. I am a perferred substitute. In addition, I have tutoring experience. All of my students make gains in subjects that they need help with. I strive to make sure that all students learn at their potential.
Teaching is my passion. I love working with students and to watch them grow and learn. All students deserve an exceptional education and they should be taught to their own learning style. I am a 60-year old man who has taught every subject at every grade level as an artist in the schools for over 35 years. I currently substitute in all the grades in Hart County so I have had to demonstrate knowledge of every subject at every grade level. I have been in the classrooms of public schools every day for about 60% of my adult life. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Oberlin College with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Math. I have tutored a lot over the years, and whereas I am comfortable handling any subject, my particular strong point is Math. I am able to find the way that students can understand the principles being learned (and this way is different for each student).
