This was challenging but probably one of my favorite jobs as a teacher. Because of the distance from home to work (about 1-1/2 hrs.), I applied at an urban school 20 minutes from my home. My first job there was managing the Young Parents Program. This was a program for high school girls who were pregnant or had already had a child. I was Training then Senior Training Coordinator for the UMASS Donahue Institute in Boston from 1991-1998. I made a decision to stop working to be with my 2 children.
