Fun and Effective Learning for Enrichment & a Better Future!

I like to give practical examples and modern day analogies. I like to keep learning fun, no matter what the age. A man once told me when I was purchasing a seat for my bicycle, "You should get the most comfortable seat, because you a lot more likely to ride longer." After he gave me that advise, and I bought a comfortable seat, I rode 22 miles the first time out. I evaluate the student and see where he/she stands and move forward in progressing their skill. Every instrument is different and difficult in its own way. I will teach the student the most productive way to practice by using the technique I learned by professors and professional musicians. For trumpet, I work on the embochure, and breathing. For violin, I evaluate the way the student holds the instrument including posture. I use a special tape to help guide with the notes which I use as training wheels, and take them down one at a time as the student progresses.
