In particular, I am experienced and passionate in teaching students with reading difficulties, such as dyslexia. I am a strong believer in using a multi-sensory approach in learning, whether it be for a beginner learner or for an older student. I find that each person has a different learing style and try to find out what works for them. I also teach them that organization of thoughts and ideas are helpful in how they approach learning. I relate the subject matter to what is needed to learn and to something that they can relate to. How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Last May I graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in history. My passion for history has been driven by my voracious appetite for knowledge.
