A Little Bit About Me...

How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. I have been a CEO, Vice President, Consultant, Senior Broker, Artist, Photographer, Glass Blower, Jewelry Designer and writer, the job titles have changed over the years; the only consistent has been that teaching has always been a part of my working life.

Besides my formal degrees, I believe it is my experience that makes me highly qualified for a tutoring position. My experiences include working in rural, urban and suburban school districts. I have also worked with children with disabilities through the Center for Disabled and as a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom. Through my graduate program, I tutored at a summer reading program.
