I am taking a class in my Master's program in which I have learned six different educational methods to use with students. Each method is different, and I have been able to learn and work through each of them. I am confident in my ability to concentrate learning through cooperative groups, presentations, direct instructions, problem based and discovery topics, concept lessons, and disscusions. I have also been taught in each lesson how to edit the lesson for English Language Learners, gifted students, and students who need more support. I believe that each child learns in their own unique way. Therefore, the best way to teach a student would be to understand the way they learn best, and then cater the tutoring and teaching to meet their indiviual needs.

Teaching has been an integral part of my life from graduate school to today. I taught English 1 and 2 as a graduate student at both WVU and Franciscan University of Steubenville. From 1991-1999, I was Director of Religious Education at two different churches. My responsibilites included developing programs and teaching students of all ages as well as adults.
