I am a Chartered Accountant and have passed the CPA exam. I have been working in the Finance sector for over 15 years. I have also had a stint in teaching while doing my certfication as a HighSchool Math teacher.I have also substitute taught for 3 years in various subject areas.
I am of the opinion that children should be given clues and lead on to discover answers to questions. In some areas I like them to memorize certain facts which will help them solve problems better. A combination of memorizing and deriving from basic known concepts will help a child solve any problem without having to sweat over it.

I would say that all people are capable of learning and improving their abilities, knowledge, and skill. When, I start to tutor someone I always have them erase from their minds "I can't do this" or "its to hard" and have them input into their minds "I can do this". A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a niche towards teaching and helping others understand textbook problems, particularly in math. Having excelled in math in high school, it was always a subject I enjoyed learning and performed well in. Although the opportunity did not come often to do that while in college, I found myself involved in tutoring/mentoring high school students to prepare for SAT and life after high school.
