I have a relaxed teaching style that makes my students feel comfortable and interested in learning. I believe I transfer my passion for my subject to my students. I use eliciting techniques, bringing student knowledge to the table first, and then build upon it. Knowing a student is important for preparing relevant materials for class. I'm patient and listen to the student to see what they get and don't get about the premise of the lesson. Then we get to it. Careful reinforcement of the Correct method will ensure Remembrance and Results. Also, Lessons must be approached within the context of the Big Picture. Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated.
