A Little Bit About Me...

I find it rewarding to teach children and adults the necessary skills that allow them to obtain full English literacy. One of the greatest accomplishments in the course of the educational process is the acquisition of full, quality literacy; it is the foundation. Consequently, I prefer a step-by-step, pragmatic method of teaching English language skills: phonics, words, syllables, consonants, verbs, sentences, punctuation, grammar, etc.
As a long-term adjunct instructor, I have successfully cultivated an effective set of best teaching practices relative to the English language and Communications. I make every conscious attempt to relate to my students as individuals and to meet their educational needs. Additionally, I exert much effort with students to impress upon them the importance of education in their lives and the fact that learning can be totally fun.

As an honor's student who tutored other student athletes I was driven to continue on and receive a Graduate level education. Although English came very easy to me so did Computers and programming so I chose to receive my Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master in Management Information Systems. My teaching style is has proven to work with many students. The most important issue with tutoring is to identify where the student has the most difficulty. There are many ways to present material, such as discussion, visual effects and hands-on. What I have learned is that many people can learn through more than one way of teaching.
