As a long-term adjunct instructor, I have successfully cultivated an effective set of best teaching practices relative to the English language and Communications. I make every conscious attempt to relate to my students as individuals and to meet their educational needs. Additionally, I exert much effort with students to impress upon them the importance of education in their lives and the fact that learning can be totally fun.
I find it rewarding to teach children and adults the necessary skills that allow them to obtain full English literacy. One of the greatest accomplishments in the course of the educational process is the acquisition of full, quality literacy; it is the foundation. I love teaching and working with both adults and children. A Little Bit About Me...

I have enjoyed substitute teaching since 1991; it was a part- time occupation that worked well as I re-entered the college scene in order to advance my AA degree to a BA in Political Science. Life and destiny urged me to earn a teacher's certification in Texas, where I later worked as an ESL 4th-5th grade teacher in the Waco (Texas) Independent School District for three years. A move to Kentucky to be closer to my aging mother resulted in six years of working as the Adair County School District's Gifted and Talented Coordinator and ESL/ELL Coordinator.
