I have been working as a speech-language pathologist in the school setting since 1987. I have also tutored school age children in speech, math, and reading in my home. A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer special needs students because I enjoy finding what works for a learner and working around their preferences - and special needs children will often tell you, directly or not, their learning style. However, this is not to say it is difficult for me to teach children without special needs. I believe in explaining things in numerous ways to help a student understand, and this creative thinking to find a new way to say something is not only a skill of mine, but something I enjoy.
