I find great pleasure in teaching because it is what I simply love to do. I learn as much from my students as they do from me because each and every one of them is a unique individual and I have to find just the right approach to helping them learn and discover new things. The key to teaching something wonderful while having fun at the same time is becoming your student's friend no matter what age they are. So many times I had seen a child walk into the class thinking that piano was a torture device and walking out having discovered how fun in can be to play it, to create a beautiful sound. Music is not a profession for me – it's a calling that defined my life. I've been a music teacher, performer and composer for over 30 years. I didn't always know I wanted to be a musician, but it was my first music teacher who helped me to open up and see my talent. I went on to study music further and got a Master's Degree in Music Performance and Education.

I really do not have a teaching style yet. A one on one setting is what I am used to. I am open to different teaching techniques depending on the help the child requires. The internet is available and has many different techniques to learning different subjects I can research as I see fit.
I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I tutored with A+ Advanced Learning Center last year for a full year. I tutored 1st grade reading, 3rd grade reading comprehension and 6th grade reading comprehension. I went to Florida State University for three years, have an EMS-Paramedic degree from Florida Career Institute. I graduated from high school with a 4.2 GPA.
Working on an ambulance I have seen many different types of people at their worst. Because of this, I am very patient and compassionate and have been told that I have a very unique way of looking at problems. I am a very hands-on tutor and believe that learning should be fun, not work.

I love teaching and working with children. I think that turning the class material into a fun experience will make it easier to learn, and make the experience enjoyable for them as well. I am patient, experienced, and compassionate. I love coming up with in-class activities and games to make the students retain the material. I've even come up with songs and rhymes to help students from young children to my college peers.
I have taught children how to sail for about 10 years now. These children range in groups of 5-15 and ages 5 to adult. This requires not only instruction, but First Aid and CPR certifications and safety procedures. I also am now a Spanish professor at a local community college, teaching a Medical Spanish class to nursing students.
