With my education I have had experience researching child development in a hands on manner through the Iowa State's Child Development Lab, which ranges of children from birth to six years old. When I was in school, I could always understand or figure out what the teacher was trying to get across. Some students, however, didn’t always understand what was being explained. I was the kid who would rephrase the teacher’s remarks and explain it again in a way that the other students could understand. Not all students understand things in the same way. I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. I taught dance for my high school years to younger children and I believe that has taught me a lot about teaching styles. I have been substitute teaching for four years for all grades and all subjects. I have been tutoring in my home for two years all grades in mainly mathematics. I have trained students in cognitive thinking skills at Learning RX for 2 years. I have three children of my own, two in college and one is a senior in high school.
