I earned my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. I was a substitute teacher for three years. I recently earned nine credit hours of additional education in order to renew my teaching license with the State of Ohio. Currently a stay-at-home mother, I give piano lessons to students at various levels of ability. I took piano lessons for eight years and am considered to be an advanced player.
I love the experience of teaching children and seeing the light in their eyes when they understand what they are learning. I believe each child learns in their own way and in their own time. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in a combination of classic and Modern Music I feel that the classics provide the basics and the structure that one needs to learn properly, I feel the modern Music helps with retaining students and creates a sense accomplishment by being able to play music that they hear on a regular bases. I also promote creativity and try to challenge the students to seek out improvements in what they are learning . As long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher to help all age groups of children. I have both a BS and a Masters degree in the field of education. I have taught for many years as well as been a principal and a tutor in reading, math, and handwriting. I really enjoy my profession as I believe it is one of the most rewarding.

A Little Bit About Me...

I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. So I first like to get to know the student and try to figure out their learning style and teach them according to how they learn. This helps me figure out where the root of the problem is so I can fix it. Then I like to use a lot of visual and hands-on lessons because children need that to really grasp concepts and to apply it in different situations. I also like to question them to lead them to come to the answer and concepts themselves in order to increase their curiosity, desire to learn, and self-esteem.
