Love Kids, Love Writing.

I believe each student is different; therefore, I change how I approach my teachings based upon the individual.
In high school, I was on our school's speech team, I competed at the varsity level all throughout high school. I placed at every competetion, without fail. I placed in advanced English classes in high school, and tested in to the second level of English classes at Western Illinois University my freshman year. I have won state wide writing competetions, and have a poem published in a book of young writers. I went to school for Journalism and Communications, but am currently taking a year off. I have also taken and passed the Illinois basic skills test, and took 2 years of Special Education courses at Western Illinois University.

Teach child as a whole person understanding we need trust and confidence to truly reach our potential. STUDENTS HAVE TROUBLE LEARNING WHEN TRUST BREAKS DOWN AND THEY ARE AFRAID TO EXPOSE WEAKNESSES OR ASK QUESTIONS. To me, this is the key to success--trust in a safe and challenging and FUN learning environment wheee mistakes are treated as paramount to learning, not as hindrances.
