A Little Bit About Me...

I am 18 years old, and the oldest child of 7 kids. I was homeschooled K-12, and am always helping my younger siblings with their daily schoolwork. I tutored for Sheridan Community College in Sheridan WY from Jan. 2000 to July 2004. I tutored mostly higher maths, ranging from algebra to business calculus. I also tutored general biology, microbiology, general chemistry, and human biology. I also taught for Sheridan Community College from Aug 2001 to Aug 2008. I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree.
I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I feel that if I can teach the student how to read theorems, understand concepts, then problems just become easy at that point.
