My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : I have extensive training in Microsoft Office. Every year while teaching the teachers received training in Microsoft Office. Also, as a STEAM teacher, we received extra training in technology which included Microsoft Office.

I use a combination of both online games and Websites and hands-on manipulatives. First, I like for the student to take multiple intelligence tests and then I know how best to help the student. The information I gain from the analysis is extremely informative. It tells me where the students' strengths lie such as some students are musically inclined, some are visual learners, auditory learners, some are mathematicians and various other styles. Then, the style that they learn through the best is how I would teach the student; this is based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligence. Second, meeting the standards are essential in today's education system. The four C's of the 21st century is also necessary for students' to learn. I am used to student-led teaching. The students choose the topic they feel they need the most help with. I walk him/her through an example problem or two and then he/she does a few alone. Once I feel that he/she is comfortable with the topic, I ask whether he/she would like to try any more. This allows the student to take control of their time and learning experience, which is often much more interesting and enjoyable for them. However, I am open to going through the book consecutively.
