Dr. Griffith Garland studied engineering physics as an undergraduate at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, pioneering the program by being a member of the first class to graduate with that degree. She was twice a member of Who's Who Among American College and University Students and graduated summa cum laude. For 1:1 tutoring my teaching style will vary depending on the individual's needs and the topic covered. I try to work at the student’s learning pace in an effort to allow the student time to comprehend and retain what is covered within the session. I am not interested in helping others learn what I know (and love) to find out later that I was "too fast" for them to use the information after the session. Covering any topic outside their natural pace is a complete waste of everyone's time.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children. I especially love teaching them about science and mathematics because I find these subjects so interesting. There are few things more rewarding then seeing it all "click." I like to use diagrams and real life situations to explain subjects. Breaking things down into laymen's terms and reducing intimidation by putting things simply helps most students to grasp difficult topics. I'm a pretty good artist and like drawing diagrams.
