As a graduate I have done tutoring to enhance my credibility to teach possibly in the future with my major in criminal justice. I'm currently enrolled for my Masters in criminal justice and criminology, and I plan to futher my education to teach within that field. During the last past 3 summers I have tutored young children as well as been a mentor to their studies. I enjoy working in this field of study, and plan to continue to do so. As stated above I enjoy working with children of all ages, I have made a difference in their lives as well as them making a difference in my life. I graduated from St. Lawrence University, a liberal arts foundation of learning that has served me judiciously on the metaphorical road of life. For the past several years I have applied my interest for the ocean environment, marine mammals and teaching to volunteer for education outreach in schools and the local communities in coastal Delaware. I entered DeVry University in Summer of 2007 as an Accounting/Business Major looking to aquire my Associates of Applied Science in Accounting. I took a variety of general education classes such as business, math, english, and science. I attended the school for a few months earning credits before having to take a break to go home and be with my father who was suffering from a serious illness. I did extremely well in the areas of math and english which required extensive hours spent on research and studying. I have been privately tutoring children over the past three years. I took a few classes on teaching at a small community college while I was still in high school. I still am considering becoming a teacher after going back to school to complete my major in accounting. I've always been a stronger believer in one-on-one teaching working more proficiently then being taught in a classroom.

After graduating college in 2006 with a degree in English I accepted the position of service coordinator in a private Catholic High School. Along with creating meaningful service experiences and coordinating immersion trips, I have been teaching 9th grade religion for 5 years. I have worked with students of all ages, but my experience tutoring is primarily with English term papers. Currently I am studying to be a school counselor and am skilled in college counseling as well as all school counseling curriculum. In May of 2012 I will be certified by the state of Maryland board of Education as a counselor in grades K-12.
