Makes science and math easy to understand

I've been tutoring at a college level for over two and a half years. I aim to take the more complex material and make it super easy to comprehend. Students have very stressful lives on their own; learning needs to be made fun and engaging. I attempt to do just that. Personally, I struggled with math in high school, so I came up with fun, easy ways to remember what to do. Learning is a process, like any other. My comments on tutoring Geometry : I consistently made mostly "A" averages in Geometry, and understand this subject very well.

I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. My academic record is very strong, and I believe empowering those I work with every single time. The only pre-requisites are that you have to be willing to learn, and learn how to learn.
I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate.

I did substitute work January-June 1992 September 1992 taught Kindergarden at New York City Schools. This proved too far from home, and the teaching market had a glut so found other work. also took graduate course work in mostly reading. In 2004 worked as reading remediation instructor for Mesa Public Schools in Arizon for 3 years. At same time worked after school for Camp Fire Girls and Boys in the Phoenix doing Math and Reading remediation. I taught 2nd grade for 2007-8 school year and 1st grade from Sept-Dec. of 2008. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning.
