I must admit that my experience with teaching is limited, however I love to sit down with groups of children and help them to discover new concepts and ways to learn the subject matter. I taught five year olds for two years in Sunday School. Every week was a challenge to help them to pay attention and listen well. Fortunately, through a great deal of patience, perseverance, and consideration for the children I was able to make learning about the scriptures fun. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Development. However, before Human Development was my major, it was English Language. Through my four years at a major university, I have learned how to properly write research essays, what sources are credible for essays, and essay format. I also have had a pet-peeve for words that are incorrecly spelled and when there are grammatical errors in something professionally done. I believe that children all come with different levels of cognition. Therefore, each child has their own learning pace. I like to give a child the time that he needs in order to accomplish his goal in learning. I grew up reading the nutritional panel on everything. I was absolutely fascinated how the body used the food that we eat to derive the energy and perform the tasks necessary for life.
